Manu comes from a mechanical engineering background with an unwavering passion for space, which has persisted since his early days. His journey in the aerospace industry began in 2019 when he formalized his training and education in astronautics as a Researcher and Scientist-Astronaut Graduate of IIAS in Melbourne, Florida, USA, where he underwent training in Atmospheric Science and Solar Mechanics. He is also indoctrinated to high-gravity(G) and changing- G environments (unsuited) with exposure to Gx, Gy, and Gz accelerations and mechanical countermeasures, and Anti-G Breathing Maneuver techniques in an Extra 300L aerobatic aircraft. His former executive experience involved fostering and managing strategic partnerships with satellite manufacturers, small launch vehicle manufacturers, and nationalized space agencies from across the globe. Furthermore, Manu was invited in 2022 to partake in the FAA-approved Orbital Spaceflight Training Program of NASTAR Center, USA. He was also briefly a part of ISRO’s Project Gaganyaan - India's first human spaceflight mission and program, carrying out a live project developing the waste management system (WMS) for astronauts in microgravity. Now Manu is the co-founder and CEO of EtherealX, a company founded in 2022 building the world's first fully reusable medium-lift launch vehicle.
